Indiana also increases revenue with extended hours
Walk-in revenue for the Greater Indiana District increased by more than $400,000 when eight post offices in the Indianapolis Metro area started staying open until 7 p.m.

Many customers said they would have gone to the competition if not for USPS’s extended hours and reduced wait-times — which may account for the word-of-mouth advertising generated by the move.
“The customer response to the later hours has been outstanding,” said Acting District Marketing Manager Mike McInturf. “They appreciate the flexibility.”
